The U.S. continues to invade old northwest tribal lands north of Ohio and around Michigan. Tecumseh is killed at the Battle of Thames, and with his death, the resistance movement loses its main leader and the pan-Indian resistance confederacy collapses. Americans swiftly demand the forced removal of the Wyandot (Huron), Lenape (Delaware), Wea, Miami, Peoria, Shawnee, and nearly all tribes in the region (Native Voices, "1813: Tecumseh’s vision of unity dies; U.S. invades northwest tribal lands").
